Deeper Upper is a indie rock / synth pop band from Lithuania which has already secured its place among indie scene‘s bands in the Baltic states.

By putting together synthesized sounds, powerful drum beats, sophisticated guitar effects and expressive lyrics they create stories of a modern human being in the digital era.


 

SHORT STORY

 

Since their first appearance in 2010, the band has released 2 full albums “Mirrors” (2016) and “Kino salė” (2021) along with 2 EP releases – “Ceremony” (2015) and “Structures” (2013).

The band has performed at the biggest music festivals in the Baltics – “Positivus” and “Tallinn Music Week”, “The Great Escape” festival in the UK along with the numerous performances in the biggest Lithuanian festivals. In the year 2014, the band took 1st place in the international music competition “EuroMusic Contest” where they won a three-day recording session at the prestigious Black Rock Studio in Santorini, Greece. In the year 2015 Deeper Upper went on the European tour and had 12 concerts in Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria and Poland. Deeper Upper had also the privilege to support such bands as Hurts, The Temper Trap and Glass Animals.

In 2021, after almost two years of silence, the band has released their newest album “Kino salė”. It’s the first time guys of Deeper Upper decided to sing in their mother tongue, which gives the album a totally different sound. You can still hear dreamy guitars and low and spacey synth sounds but the lead vocal is taking you on another journey altogether. The album is available for the first time in vinyl format as well.
